RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative yoga is a gentle yoga practice, regenerating and relaxing, that leaves us nourished and well rested.
Asanas are performed with supports (blankets, blocks, cushions) so we can fully surrender and open to the positions, finding calm in the stillness of the sustained posture.
In this practice of yoga the focus is mental calmness, relaxation, rest and letting go of all stresses, whether physical, emotional or mental. The relaxation that yoga gives us is deeper because it is an "active relaxation" where one remains aware observing relaxation progressively being installed, which rests and regenerates us even more deeply. It is also a practice where the body receives benefits, not only of rest, deep breathing and consciousness, but also the passively opened positions, which releases tension, unlocks the body and massages the organs.
An hour to devote to yourself, to nourish the body and relax the mind, regenerating completely.
The class begins with gentle movements to warm the body and go within. Then we surrender into restorative asanas maintained for a few minutes, and finish with some simple breathing exercises or pranayama. These restorative asanas are accompanied by guided relaxation, soft music, looking to generate a deep and restorative relaxation.
Ideal for people with stress, insomnia, anxiety, for pregnant women or anyone passing through a critical time of change, physical or emotional stress.
Great for anybody who simply want to drop all week and recharge energie, to enjoy the weekend renewed. Or for anyone wanting to have some quiet and nutritious time with oneself.
It is fully compatible with the previous class of dynamic yoga.
